I really have the best intentions to write a for-real post about my life.  Really.  I do.  I mean, there’s work…and other work…and friends…and family…and graduations…and Memorial Day weekend…and babies…and work…and driving…and grad school info…and work…and music…and coffee…and current events…and work…and writing…and wor – well, you get the idea.  Point being, there are updates (albeit somewhat depressing/boring ones that would be, alas, just about work).

But unfortunately, my computer fan is dying.  A slow, painful, LOUD death.  Which means I have about a 5-45minute window of computer time before it begins shrieking at me and I have to turn it off for fear that it will either a) attack me or b) cause me to lose my hearing.

So, I think I’m going to turn it off ASAP.  Maybe next time I’ll hop on the ol’ blog first, but in the meantime, I’ve bid on a new fan on ebay.  And called Wake’s IS.  Hopefully I will soon replace the fan myself in hardy home improvement fashion (a la my talented Sister & Brother-in-law Dearest and their washing machine).

And that adventure will surely merit its own blog post (assuming my poor computer survives it…)

So I have this kind of incredible best friend/hetero-lifemate, Cat.  I’ve shouted out to her blog before.  But today I wanted to let you know that she has, with one of her co-workers, opened up her own etsy store!  As a proud owner of some Gata originals, I can assure you that her products will liven up your living space :)   Check out their store, politesocietyinc, as soon as possible!

Made some more progress on my 101 in 1001!

#20 – So, since like…April…I cut down to 1 or 2 soft drinks a day (3 on a really bad day perhaps).  And then for the past 4 weeks, I have cut soft drinks out completely :)   I haven’t broken the caffeine addiction yet; just switched to coffee and tea.  Bow in awe before me.

#23 – I am down to a size 8 :)   I have never been a size 8 in my life.  This is kind of a big deal people.

#72 – I went through alllllll of my clothes, and reorganized my closet & drawers.  And I have all the clothes I don’t wear in two trash bags ready to go to either work or Goodwill.

#75 – While going through my clothes, I also went through my purses.  Yay for simplicity!

And there are 12 goals in progress…So I’m feeling pretty good about that.

Meanwhile, check out my Posterous site for interesting links etc.

Makeover

Currently Reading: The Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - Michael Chabon
Currently Watching: Sex and the City - Season 1

I have given my blog a makeover.  Also, I went back and edited all of the entries that got screwed up with html coding so that they are now readable.

Also, today marks the day that Rachel and I officially begin our personal makeovers.  I’m taking some pages from Jillian Michaels and kicking my health & exercise routine into high gear.  For 30 intensive days.  We’ll see what happens…and I will keep you posted :)

I am feeling the pull of the Gmail + Blogger set-up.  The truth is, I am more lacking in technical skills than you may believe…and WordPress…is a bit too advanced for me.  It is very shiny, but I don’t know what I’m doing half the time.

In fact, it is so beyond me, that I cannot figure out how to get all of my previous posts off of this blog & put them in my new blog.  Which is really what I would like to do.  Because we’ve had some good times.  We’ve seen lots of countries and various adventures.  It’s been a good little blog.  But…alas…it might be time to move on?

Still, just because I get a change of scenery doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll write more (or any more interestingly).  It could be time to start something wholly new & different.  I am feeling having a new name and layout.  But I might not have to leave my old blog behind to do so.

And if you think I’ve over-analyzed this, imagine what I do to relationships…
